Finn: 9 Months Old – A Shaker Village Session

By now, you probably recognize my sweet buddy Finn.  He has made a few past appearances on my blog, and his precious face has probably melted your heart with every single post.  If it hasn’t, there’s something wrong with your heart.

For Finn’s nine-month photos, his mom Natalie suggested that we have the session at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill.  I had never shot at Shaker Village…or even visited, if I’m honest…but the photos online looked gorgeous, and I was super excited.

Um…yeah.  So, Shaker Village?  Totally a new favorite shooting spot.

I’m actually a little upset that it has taken me this long to discover such an incredible little gem so close to home.

And…if I’m honest…it’s totally going to be a new favorite visiting spot as well.  I seriously can’t wait until I get a chance to take my own crew to explore the incredible grounds.  When the weather warms back up, I see rounding up chickens, a ride on The Dixie Belle, and a stroll through the vegetable garden in our future.  In the meantime, we will probably bundle up and make our way there for some of the awesome holiday festivities they have planned.

As for my session with Finn, he was a perfect gentleman, as always.  I had so much fun exploring Shaker Village with Finn and his awesome parents, Natalie and Grant.  I am so glad I can call them friends of mine and am forever grateful that they have allowed me to help document Finn’s first year.  I am already looking forward to his first birthday session!
