When Kayla was a sophomore, she was a student in one of my English classes at my former school.  I’m not sure what to say to describe exactly how much I loved having Kayla in class, but throughout the year, she showed me time and time again that as beautiful as she might be, her spirit is even more beautiful.  She always worked hard, never complained when a challenge was thrown her way, and treated every student in the class with respect.  Kayla was the girl who stood up for a kid who was picked on one day.  She was the one who stayed after class to tell me how much her heart broke to see other students bullied.  She was the one who, when I told my class Finley had been diagnosed with autism, had compassion written all over her face.  Kayla, it was truly a joy to take your senior photos, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
