Frank, Emily, & Emma Jane

One of the best parts of running my photography business has been meeting new people.

Meeting new people is even better when those people become friends.

A little over a year ago, I had no idea who Frank, Emily, and Emma Jane were.  Emily had spotted my work through a mutual friend’s family photos, and when she contacted me about taking photos for her own family, I didn’t realize that her little family would soon become one of my favorite little families to photograph.  I also didn’t realize that her husband and I had met before–sort of–when we were both high school seniors, and he was the star of a rival basketball team.  As a result of the mad amounts of school spirit I possessed my senior year in high school, I attended every single game.  I think I even wished for him to break a few bones during basketball season (sorry, Frank!) which, thankfully, never came true.

When Emily revealed she is expecting their second little gal, I kept my fingers…and toes…crossed that she would contact me to take photos for them again this year when she arrives.  Luckily for me, she contacted me about photos prior to the new baby’s arrival AND once she arrives.  The photos you see below are from our first session, and my experience with Emily’s little family has made me all the more excited to see them again soon when Emma Jane’s baby sister arrives.  Emily and Frank very graciously invited me into their home for this session, and just like last year, I left feeling like I had just spent time with two of the kindest people around.  As for Emma Jane, I couldn’t ask for a sweeter little gal to photograph.  We became fast friends, and Emma Jane even “helped” me snap a couple of photos.

Take a look at a few of my favorites from Frank, Emily, and Emma Jane’s session below.  I can’t wait to share more photos of them once they are a family of four!
