Macey’s photo session marked a turning point in photography for me. I officially listed high school seniors alongside first birthdays and lifestyle newborns as my favorite types of sessions to shoot. Since I have not shot a great deal of high school seniors in the past, I haven’t had many opportunities to truly grasp just how great high school senior sessions are, and Macey was an awesome reminder. I loved the opportunity to spend a little time with her, get to know her a little better, and laugh with her. During her session, I was almost attacked by a herd of cattle (which may or may not be an exaggeration), lost my phone, and got way more excited over a hay barn than I think any person is supposed to. Macey was an awesome sport and was up for anything I asked her to do, and I think we might have bonded a little when we both came to realize that hay bales are much taller than they look.
Macey’s session was also part of a special project that I’m working on with my husband David, and I’m really excited to share that little project with you in the near future. I have a couple more sessions to shoot that are a part of that project (and many hours of editing) before it’s ready, but go ahead and prepare yourselves for something really awesome. 🙂
Congratulations to Macey as she enters her final year of high school. I have no doubt that she is going to do some truly amazing things!
