When I saw the theme for this month’s Rock the Shot challenge, “Fun at the Beach,” I knew I would be cutting my entry close. Living in Kentucky does not provide many opportunities for photos at the beach, and although I had a few photos from last year’s trip to Jekyll Island, Georgia that I loved, none of them had the magic I was looking for. Luckily for me, our trip to Jekyll Island this year ended with just a couple of days to spare in the competition. When I got home today, I already knew which photo I would enter.
I will be blogging more of my photos from our awesome week on our favorite little island, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this moment that I captured of Gavin. That boy loves the beach more than I can explain, and I think this photo shows just how much fun he had this past week. None of us wanted to come home, and we can’t wait to go back next year.
Here’s a little info about this photo, if you would like to know how I captured it!
Camera & Lens Info: Canon EOS 5D Mark III with Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 Di VC lens
Settings: 70mm, 1/2000, f/4.0, ISO 100
